Well, it looks like the ol' Kult has finally folded up for good. Its hard to believe its been seven years since the first of us signed onto this ship. In the last few years I've seen an interesting phenomenon. While we have left Kult behind, our klans seem to have stuck. You can still find Ronin Lethe, Nomad Raven, Nomad Zophiel etc online. (more below)

We all joined Kult seven years ago because it was "time for change". Looking back, we have changed. As individuals we've all come a long way since those early days. Somewhere along the way we found that the structures of Kult no longer fit the new us. One by one we found our way to the door. When we left, though, we all took a little something of Kult with us. The group may be dead but that's because its lessons were learned. What comes next? I don't know. I'm going to tidy up a bit around here out of respect to the old lady. After that, if you still want to change the world you can drop me an e-mail (nomadzophiel at g mail dot com) and maybe we can come up with something.

This is Zophiel, standing alone on the bridge of Kult, signing off for the last time. Rest in peace, old lady, you've earned it.

Maybe we didn't accomplish as much as we would have liked. Maybe we were too different, or too much alike.

Maybe that really doesn't matter. We did some good, but as with all good things, KULT had to come to an end.

I'm still in touch with a few of the older guard - mostly Ghost and Dinc from KBM, and more recently Katana.

If anyone else wants to get in touch for whatever reason, drop me a line here: relaystationalphaSPLATgmailDOTcom.

I purposefully didn't look here for years; It was too much and I had a life to get on with. Oh, but how I cut my teeth on infighting, splitting, and factionalism! The story of kult is a tried and true combination of what online communities and fringe political groups all go through, let no one doubt it. And what's it been, 8 years since this was started? Jesus, has it been so long? Makes me feel old, or maybe it reminds me of how young I was in this, and how stupid, too often. Maybe I'm finally getting over it. I'd be nice to collect thoughts from people somewhere on what it all meant.

Thanks for doing the decent thing, Zophiel. Closure, I guess.

Anyone who wants to track me down can figure out how without much trouble.

It's both a shame and I guess an eventuality that none of us really wanted to talk about at the time. What with the weirdness that enveloped the 'other KULT' and then spilled over to here (myself being the instigator of much of that unfortunately), it's still good to remember what KULT meant to us when we all joined up. It's been a good ride everyone, and it was a pleasure riding along with you all.

Looking Back
by Prophet_VinceRaven on Nov 5, 2007 06:03PM (PST)
LoL.....wow....* remembers in a nostalgic way *. I remember joining all those years ago; I was best friends with Decker Apocalypse * My olde High School Days * and he was like, " hey dude, i have something to share with you. " And he spread the Virus, jacked me in and i was a member of Klan Ronin. I then several months later bought a Klan T-shirt and everyone around me was like, " wow....who the HELL is Kult? " and i just smiled and said, " go to the site and find out, because i am not gonna tell ya until you do. " Well Kult has changed for Good or Worse, and so too have we; back then i was just some High School kid looking for people that, along with me knew that SOME thing wasnt right with the world and wanted to belong. Now i am about to be four years away from being 30, have seen the horror of war and conflict, been through things that would make a normal mad balk, and here soon am about to do it ALL over again; except THIS time i now have a wife and children. So yeah i have changed, and those of you who actually know me and have talked with me might agree. So to Kult I say good-bye and farewell, you were a big part of my life, and i know i didnt give as much as some of the rest of you, but i still was with you always. Please contact me if you can spare some free time, each and every one of you, and know that all of you will always be with me, and Kult, you havent left my mind at all. Good-bye, Spc. Been a long time, always been looking for something to truly happen. But it just never seemed to work out. Here's a drink to those who tried, and the ideas that burned in the mind.

Server knows that I've changed and grown alot in the 7 years or so since I've known this group, and I still keep a lookout for all the old crew. Still got a copy of the VM2.0 we were trying to work on way back. Still gets me fired up reading the draft of it.
