The Kult

We are a society of friends. An organization of alternative thinkers, social activists, freedom lovers, goverment watchers, victim protectors, and public informers. We work and act to aid our members and society at large.

"No More Victims" is our enduring motto.

Kult is a direct action and personal empowerment organization which functions primarily on the Internet. We organize into decentralized cells which carry out projects to aid our fellow members and encourage others in society to think and analyze the state of society and the world.

We are not racist, religious, violent, elitist or criminal. We are the sworn enemy of injustice and those who warp laws into justification for the corrupt. We are the freaks in your school, office, or church. We are the ones who do not sit idly by, or turn a blind eye to injustice in any form. We are vigilantes, hackers, freejackers, spies, and friends. We are sick of the current corpora-political trend and seek to ensure that infringements on freedom do not go unnoticed.

Our mission:
To support our members through networking, counseling, moral support, and sharing of resources;
To end victimization in society through awareness, information distribution, and group action;
To promote individuality through creation of original artwork, music, literature, and expression; and
To spread and grow our organization through expression, referral, and promotion.

Spread the Virus.

Well, it looks like the ol' Kult has finally folded up for good. Its hard to believe its been seven years since the first of us signed onto this ship. In the last few years I've seen an interesting phenomenon. While we have left Kult behind, our klans seem to have stuck. You can still find Ronin Lethe, Nomad Raven, Nomad Zophiel etc online. Ars Technica - What can cause a psychologically healthy individual to commit acts that would be generally recognized as inhumane? Experience with everything from totalitarian regimes to crowd violence suggest that a deference to authority or peer pressure can be all that's needed. Early attempts to examine this behavior were stopped due to ethical concerns, but a team of European researchers believe they have found a way around these worries. Their solution? Have their test subjects act inhumanely towards a virtual victim.

Meetup in Massachusetts

Once again, I'm going to try to organize a meetup. The last one I attempted to have (earlier this year) was a relative success: although only two Kult members showed up - myself and Ghost - I did get a chance to meet some of Ghost's buddies and we had a long and edifying discussion of various pieces of tech.

But I digress. Since there's finally more activity, I thought we ought to try for another meetup.

Anyone who's interested, click "Read More" and drop me a line if you're interested in coming.

Not interested? Click "Read More", get my email address and tell me to go fuck a wall. ;)

Terrorism is a tactic, not a persuasion. Try "War on Ambushes," instead of "War on Terror," and see how it sounds. Terrorism is private war.

NY Meetup

Okay, guys, here's the deal:

Once again, I'm looking to host a meetup at I-Con 25, a science fiction/fantasy/gaming/what-have-you convention at SUNY Stony Brook on Long Island.

Information on the convention (also known as 'the largest convocation of freaks, geeks, and general weirdos this side of Gen Con') can be found here: I-Con Website.

Also, if there are any geocachers in the ranks, there appears to be a geocache on the SUNY Stony Brook campus. I'm hoping to make finding the geocache one of the things we do at this meetup.

If you're interested in coming to the meetup, drop me a Kmail or email me at fitzkreiner(SPLAT)aol.com and I'll pass on contact info for you to use once you're on-site.
